The Newell Highway – New Dubbo Bridge project involves the construction of a new high-level river crossing over the Macquarie River, together with highway and intersection upgrades through Dubbo. The project is being delivered for Transport for NSW and forms part of the Newell Highway Upgrade, improving traffic flow, route reliability during flood events, and connectivity across the Central West.
The works include a new multi-span bridge structure, upgrades to key intersections and adjoining roads, utility relocations, and complex traffic staging across greenfields and urban interfaces.
CSPM Role
CSPM Consulting supported the project team by providing planning and program assurance services focused on schedule confidence and delivery feasibility. Our role involved facilitating targeted workshops to integrate multiple work packages, assess sequencing across greenfields and intersection works, and test the achievability of proposed delivery timelines.
Through this process, CSPM Consulting helped the team establish a credible target program, identify key dependencies and constraints, and support informed decision-making without re-baselining the contractual program.
